January 17, 2001 Port of Oakland Publishes First Issue of New Quarterly Newsletter
The Port of Oakland's Maritime Division has released the first edition of "On The Waterfront", a four-page quarterly newsletter designed from the ground up to meet the needs of the people working on the waterfront by detailing important issues for the trade and transportation community.
First edition highlights include an update on the Vision 2000 projects, a summary of year-to-date cargo trends, and a profile of Board President David Kramer. On-going articles will include descriptions of Oakland's marine terminals; "Hot Topics" -- devoted to late-breaking news; "Waterfront Personalities" -- interviews with key personalities in Northern California; and "Questions to the Port" -- the industry's opportunity to ask for detailed explanations on any subject relating to the Maritime Division.
